GLADEL Lupus

GLADEL is a Latin American initiative, launched and spearheaded by local rheumatologists in 1997 with the purpose of:

Undertaking multi-center studies in local patients with systemic lupus erythematosus (SLE).
Stimulating projects to increase the knowledge of SLE and its consequences in patients, physicians and the community in Latin America.

GLADEL is an international group formed by experts in the field of SLE, including more than 50 rheumatology research centers located in main cities from more than 12  Latin American countries.

The group's philosophy is inclusive, enthusiastic and looking forward to the incorporation of new centers and countries within Latin America, as new projects arise linked to the above-mentioned objectives. Decisions are always taken by consensus among equals.
